A conference accompanying the 3rd edition of the Festival of Kinetic Art of Light, Light. Move. Festival. Łódź 2013, will take place in the Grand Hotel. This most famous hotel in Lodz boasts the longest history of any hotel in the city and has been welcoming guests for an uninterrupted 122 years.

The goal of the Conference is to arouse interest in urban illumination in municipal authorities, public space designers and property owners. How does light influence the city image? What are the current trends related to presence of light and colour in public space? Do the investments in light affect the city perception or are just a decoration? These and many more questions will be asked during the Conference and will be, hopefully, answered.
